Typescript Backend Engineer (Remote – India)

3–5 Month Unpaid Fellowship | Othisis – AI-Powered Healthcare SaaS

At Othisis , health-tech startup, we’re building an AI-powered medical scribe that reduces physician burnout by automating clinical documentation, PDF ingestion, and administrative workflows.

We are seeking a motivated Backend Engineer Fellow with MEAN stack experience who wants hands-on exposure to building global SaaS products in healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain REST, GraphQL, and gRPC APIs for web and mobile clients
  • Architect scalable backend solutions with NestJS + MongoDB
  • Build and connect modern client interfaces using Ionic + Angular
  • Implement secure, multi-tenant SaaS features with strict data isolation
  • Deploy and manage containerized micro services (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Conduct code reviews, testing, and troubleshooting for reliability
  • Document APIs, contracts, and architecture for the team

    • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science / Engineering (or recent graduate)
  • Hands-on projects with MEAN stack + Ionic
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker / Kubernetes)
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

    • Bonus if you have :

  • Experience with healthcare, SaaS, or AI platforms
  • Knowledge of SaaS billing / payment systems
  • Advanced skills in micro services or distributed systems
