Data Science Manager

Job description3+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or applied statistics (industry or research) Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field (Bachelor's minimum; advanced degree preferred) Strong proficiency in Python and SQL; familiarity with R, Java, or Scala is a plus Hands-on experience building and deploying machine learning models using frameworks like scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch Experience with statistical analysis, data wrangling, and feature engineering on large datasets Start Date : Immediate Duration : 1–2 months Commitment : Part-time (15–25 hours / week, with flexibility up to 40 hours / week) Schedule : Fully remote and asynchronous – flexible working hours Competitive hourly rate based on experience ($80–$120 USD / hr) Independent contractor Daily payment via Stripe Connect Upload your resume AI interview : A short, 15-minute conversational session to understand your background, experience, and interest in the role Follow-up communication within a few days with next steps and onboarding details
Mercor is hiring experienced Data Science professionals to support a variety of high-impact research collaborations with leading AI labs. Freelancers will help improve AI systems through work on code validation, prompt refinement, algorithmic evaluation, and model benchmarking.
