APAC Regional Responsibilities
- Support, oversee and maintain compliance with US GAAP accounting, global policies, and revenue recognition in the region
- Manage end to end accounting for the 8 regional holding companies - ensure compliance with local GAAP, US GAAP, external audits, and maintaining filing statutory, tax and other regulatory requirements for these entities
- Responsible for accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end and year-end close and reporting
- Manage the calculation and distribution of management overhead and regional business services within APAC
- Lease Accounting - responsible for accurate lease accounting for the region in accordance with IFRS 16. Coordinate creation of leases in the group lease accounting system. Responsible for ensuring that regional lease balances as per accounting system agree to the lease management systems and coordinate to resolve any variances.
- Revenue Recognition - Conducting monthly SOX testing and reporting to Global Internal Audit team, assist in maintaining compliance with US GAAP and global policies
- Tax - Coordinate quarterly tax submission for the region to Global tax, help in resolving queries and assisting countries in completion of accurate quarterly submissions
- Balance Sheet Reconciliation review and compliance for the region
- Intercompany balance review and reconciliation : Responsible for reviewing and reconciling intercompany balances. This involves proactively liaising with countries to minimize discrepancies, ensuring optimal cash flow and efficient repatriation.
