Role Overview :

The Senior Manager – SAP FI Architect is responsible for providing strategic and technical leadership in the design, implementation, and optimization of SAP Financial Accounting (FI) solutions. This role ensures that financial systems align with business goals, regulatory requirements, and enterprise architecture standards. The individual will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, IT leadership, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality SAP solutions that support global finance and controlling processes.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategic & Architectural Leadership

Define and maintain the overall SAP FI architecture and roadmap in alignment with enterprise strategy.

Lead solution design for SAP Finance modules (FI-GL, FI-AP, FI-AR, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, and New GL).

Integrate SAP FI with other SAP modules (CO, MM, SD, PP, PS, HR) and external systems.

Provide thought leadership on S / 4HANA Finance migration, Central Finance, and emerging SAP technologies.

Project & Delivery Management

Lead end-to-end SAP finance transformation initiatives and rollouts across multiple geographies.

Oversee solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment of FI components.

Collaborate with functional and technical teams to ensure consistent implementation and governance.

Ensure delivery quality and adherence to SAP best practices and internal standards.

Stakeholder Management

Partner with Finance leadership to translate business needs into scalable SAP solutions.

Act as the key liaison between IT and Finance for system enhancements, process improvements, and compliance initiatives.

Provide expert advice to business stakeholders on SAP capabilities and limitations.

Team Leadership

Manage and mentor SAP FI consultants, both internal and external.

Develop team capabilities in new SAP finance functionalities (e.g., S / 4HANA Universal Journal, Group Reporting, RAR).

Foster collaboration across finance, IT, and shared service teams.

Governance, Compliance & Continuous Improvement

Ensure system compliance with financial regulations (IFRS, GAAP, SOX).

Define and maintain global template standards, documentation, and change management processes.

Drive continuous improvement and automation in finance processes leveraging SAP and related technologies (e.g., RPA, AI, analytics).

Required Qualifications :

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or related field.

12+ years of overall experience, with at least 8 years in SAP FI / CO solution design and implementation.

Proven experience as an SAP Architect or Solution Lead on large-scale SAP projects (including S / 4HANA).

Strong understanding of financial processes, accounting principles, and integration points with other SAP modules.

Experience with Central Finance, Group Reporting, or Treasury modules is highly desirable.

Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills

SAP FI / CO certification preferred.

Preferred Skills :

Experience in multi-country, multi-currency implementations.

Exposure to SAP BTP, SAP Analytics Cloud, and Fiori.

Knowledge of agile methodologies and DevOps for SAP.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

System stability and compliance with audit and regulatory standards.

User satisfaction and adoption of SAP financial solutions.

Continuous improvement and innovation in finance processes.
