Assistant Vice President, Windchill PLM Architect

This role involves leading the end-to-end architecture, design, and delivery of Windchill PLM solutions for large enterprise programs. The AVP will act as the technical authority for PLM strategy, integrations, upgrades, and data migrations while driving scalable, future-ready PLM ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities (Short)
- Lead solution architecture for Windchill PLM (Greenfield & Brownfield implementations).
- Drive system upgrades, version transitions, performance optimization, and modular consistency (PDMLink, MPMLink, ProjectLink, PartsLink).
- Own data migration strategy using WBM, XML Loader, Windchill Loader, and ETL tools.
- Architect integrations with CAD / CAE tools (Creo, CATIA, NX, SolidWorks) and enterprise systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, MES, CRM).
- Provide hands-on configuration and customization using Java, JSP, XML, Windchill APIs, workflows, and lifecycle management.
- Define architectural standards, govern best practices, and mentor technical teams.
- Conduct requirement workshops, lead client discussions, and design scalable PLM solutions.
- Act as an SME across PLM domains such as Configuration Mgmt., Quality, Compliance, and Requirements Mgmt.
- Support thought leadership through whitepapers, blogs, and industry forums.
Required Skills
Strong expertise in Windchill architecture, customization, and integrations.Proven track record in PLM implementations, upgrades, and data migrations.Proficiency in Java / J2EE, JSP, XML, InfoEngine, REST APIs.Knowledge of ETL, CI / CD, DevOps practices, and exposure to AWS / Azure deployments.Excellent client-facing, consulting, and leadership skills.Preferred certifications : PTC Windchill Architect, TOGAF.
