Role Overview
We are seeking a Principal Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement & Data Cloud Architect to lead the architecture, design, and delivery of scalable, data-driven customer engagement solutions. This role combines deep hands-on expertise with strategic advisory capability, enabling organizations to activate unified customer data across channels while aligning technology decisions with business objectives. This is a senior consulting role requiring strong ownership, proactive problem-solving, and confident stakeholder engagement-not a ticket-based execution role.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Solution Design
- Lead the end-to-end architecture and implementation of Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement and Salesforce Data Cloud solutions
- Design scalable, secure, and high-performance customer engagement architectures
- Define customer data models, identity resolution strategies, and activation frameworks
- Ensure alignment with Salesforce best practices, security standards, and governance models
Data Strategy & Activation
- Own the customer data strategy, including ingestion, unification, segmentation, and activation
- Design and manage Data Streams and data ingestion pipelines from external systems
- Enable advanced audience segmentation and real-time activation across channels
Journey & Channel Enablement
- Architect and optimize cross-channel customer journeys (Email, Mobile, Personalization)
- Enable real-time personalization using Interaction Studio (Personalization)
- Oversee mobile engagement strategies using Mobile Studio (SMS, Push Notifications)
Integration & APIs
- Design and guide API-based integrations using REST, SOAP, and GraphQL
- Support and review API testing and documentation using Postman and Swagger
- Ensure reliable data synchronization between Salesforce and external platforms
Leadership, Governance & Advisory
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to business and technical stakeholders
- Provide delivery oversight, technical leadership, and architectural governance
- Proactively identify risks, optimization opportunities, and improvement areas
- Mentor junior team members and enforce engineering best practices
