We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Wintel and Cloud Engineer with proven leadership abilities to join our infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience managing Windows-based systems, virtualization platforms, and cloud environments (primarily Azure or AWS). In addition to technical expertise, the role requires strong coordination, mentoring, and the ability to lead and guide junior team members and third-party vendors.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage the Wintel and cloud infrastructure operations to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability.
- Provide expert-level support for Windows Server (2016 / 2019 / 2022), Active Directory, DNS / DHCP, Group Policy, and related core services.
- Administer virtualization platforms like VMware ESXi and Hyper-V, including capacity planning and performance tuning.
- Design, deploy, and manage services in cloud environments (Azure and / or AWS), including IaaS, PaaS, networking, and security configurations.
- Implement automation using tools like PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Terraform.
- Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and resolution for infrastructure issues.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers; assign tasks and review work to ensure quality and t imeliness.
- Participate in infrastructure projects, migrations, upgrades, and cloud adoption initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with security, patching, and backup policies.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, security standards, and audit requirements.
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical issues as needed.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and vendors for issue resolution and project delivery.
- Document procedures, configurations, and system changes.
Required Skills and Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.5-7 years of experience in Wintel infrastructure and cloud technologies.Strong knowledge of :o Windows Server OS, Active Directory, Group Policy
o Virtualization : VMware, Hyper-V
o Cloud platforms : Microsoft Azure (preferred), AWS
o Backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault, etc.)
o Monitoring tools (SolarWinds, ELK.)
Scripting / Automation : PowerShell, Azure CLI, or equivalent.Good understanding of networking, firewalls, and security best practices.Experience with ITIL processes and change management.Proven ability to lead teams and handle escalations effectively.Excellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills.Working knowledge of ITIL processes for incident, change, and problem managementPreferred Certifications :
