Enterprise Architect

About the Role

• A Senior Technology Architect plays a crucial leadership role in designing and implementing IT solutions across the enterprise. They work at a strategic level to ensure that the technology infrastructure and systems align with the organization's long-term business goals. This position requires extensive experience in technology architecture, leadership, and collaboration across various teams to deliver complex technology solutions. This profile combines a strong technical background with the ability to align IT strategies to business goals while maintaining governance standards.

Responsibilities

Develop and manage the overall enterprise architecture technology catalogue, recommending technology roadmaps for future landscapes.Define architectural patterns and recommendations for their usage.Facilitate architecture review boards and technical workshops to guide design and development practices.Promote the adoption of new technologies, tools, and methodologies that align with the organization’s goals.Review technology architecture for all applications supporting enterprise and business needs, recommending optimum deployment architectures.Review and approve technical designs and solutions from development teams.Lead the design of high-level, scalable, and secure technology architectures for large-scale, complex systems.BoQ finalisation and TCO calculation for the solution.Ensure solutions meet architectural best practices, including performance, security, scalability, and cost-efficiency.Direct the selection and integration of technology components (cloud platforms, networks, middleware, etc.).Recommend and rationalise the technology building blocks that should be adopted.Implement governance policies to guide technology decision-making and mitigate risks.Identify emerging technologies and evaluate their potential impact.Lead efforts to evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and platforms for the IT landscape.Review technology solutions, including hardware and software requirements ensuring adherence to enterprise recommended guidelines and tools & technologies.Maintain compliance with industry standards, security protocols, and governance frameworks.Assess current technology environments and recommend changes that drive innovation and efficiency.

Required Skills

15+ years of experience in technology architecture, with at least 3-5 years in a senior or leadership role.Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale, enterprise-level technology solutions.Deep understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) and cloud architecture.

Preferred Skills

Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), virtualization, containerization, and DevOps practices.Proven experience in architecting solutions across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments.Strong knowledge of software architecture patterns, microservices, databases, and APIs.Expertise in networking, security protocols, data architecture, and system integration.Understanding of infrastructure-as-code (IaC), automation, and orchestration tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
