Role Overview

We’re looking for a Principal Backend Engineer to lead the design and development of key systems that power both the consumer experience (personalization, search, recommendations) and the supply chain (inventory, routing, fulfillment, lastmile). This is a highly strategic role for someone who can think end-to-end, connect business needs to technical decisions, and drive scalable architecture in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Consumer Experience & Personalization

• Design scalable, low-latency systems that power homepage, product carousels, and dynamic promotions.
• Build real-time personalization and recommendation platforms using customer interactions, session data, and ML signals.
• Collaborate with data science to serve contextual recommendations, ranking algorithms, and customer segmentation.
• Architect APIs and services that support multi-tenant, multi-device user experiences with high reliability.
• Capture behavioral signals and build infrastructure for event-based personalization and nudges (e.g., abandoned cart, repeat prompts).
