What you can look forward to as Assistant Manager Program Purchasing :

  • Coordinate procurement / outsourcing process(es) with suppliers / contractors, to identify / manage / eliminate risks / hazards arising / contractors / suppliers activities to organization or interested parties & vice versa based on ones education, training, or experience towards improved EHS performance in compliance to EHS regulations (ISO, Group Directives & SOPs).
  • Also be responsible to follow & upkeep general HSE regulations in owns area of work.
  • Based on ZF planning cycles, the job holder will produce a budget and a resources plan for ones cost center for approval along with the Department Head.
  • Through budgetary control and the initiation of measures in response to budget variance, ensures compliance with variable cost targets and budgets.
  • Tracking of current & past / Future BOM including development of targets & VAVE.
  • Develop detailed BOM estimation.
  • Optimize material cost of product (VAVE) , Conduct VA / VE Workshop.
  • Lead change management activities for purchasing.
  • Drive RFQ, Price Negotiation & implementation of the change & handover to commodity.
  • Drive approval & implementation of change request.
  • PEP Planning & Execution Launch management & supplier readiness including prototypes (New Project).
  • SWAT Creation & Hand over package.
  • Release of technical workbook & support in supplier technical review meeting.

Profile description :

Your profile as Assistant Manager Program Purchasing :

  • Bachelors degree in mechanical / mechatronics engineering or Equivalent.

    • Years of relevant experience : 6-8 yrs. of experiences in the field of Heavy engineering Industries & expert knowledge in Purchase, Supplier Development, VA / VE & Global Sourcing of relevant competences as below :

  • Good Techno-commercial knowledge on commodities (Assemblies, Bearings & others).
  • Well conversant with supplier development and knowledge of supplier handling.
  • Working experience on ERP (SAP), Microsoft office, Power BI & Power Apps.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Adherence to QMS, EMS & OHSAS (WI, HIRA, SIS, EMP etc.,).
  • Knowledge of 5S, Kanban, Kristal, ZFPS & Kaizen.
