Job Description

As a Junior QA Engineer, you will be responsible for testing software applications to identify defects and ensure functionality meets requirements. You will work under the guidance of senior QA engineers and collaborate with developers to enhance testing processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone starting their career in software quality assurance and eager to develop expertise in test automation, API testing, and Agile methodologies .

Key Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Execute manual and automated test cases to verify software functionality.
  • Identify, report, and track defects using JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar tools .
  • Assist in writing test scripts for automation using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright .
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and usability testing .
  • Work closely with developers to understand features and potential edge cases.
  • Conduct API testing using Postman or similar tools.
  • Document test cases, results, and quality reports.
  • Participate in Agile team meetings and contribute to testing discussions.

Qualifications and Experience Required :

  • 0-2 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing.
  • Basic understanding of manual and automated testing concepts.
  • Familiarity with test automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright (plus, if experienced).
  • Knowledge of SQL for basic database testing.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Exposure to API testing using Postman or REST Assured.
  • Basic programming knowledge in PHP, Typescript, or JavaScript .
  • Experience with version control tools like Git .
  • ISTQB certification (nice to have).
