Job description

Position : Project Manager HR

Designation / Level : AVP

Location : Chennai, WTC, Perungudi

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and manage HR projects for client insourcing business, with a primary focus on payroll and HR operations.
  • Oversee end-to-end payroll insourcing processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely disbursement for client accounts.
  • Drive the transition and implementation of HR operations for new client insourcing engagements.
  • Liaise with client stakeholders to understand requirements, set expectations, and deliver agreed outcomes.
  • Develop and optimize HR processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
  • Ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements in payroll and HR operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, IT, Compliance) to support seamless HR service delivery.
  • Monitor project milestones, budgets, and timelines; report progress and escalate issues as required.
  • Prepare and present project updates, operational reports, and compliance documentation to clients and internal management.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and leverage technology for process automation.

Required Qualifications & Experience :

  • Postgraduate degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in HR operations and payroll management, with at least 3 years in project delivery or client-facing roles.
  • Proven experience in managing insourcing transitions and large-scale HR projects.
  • Strong understanding of Indian / international payroll, HR operations, statutory compliance, and HR best practices.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Experience in leading and motivating teams.
  • Proficiency in HRMS / payroll software; MS Dynamics experience preferred.
  • High attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and project management skills.
