Senior Document Control Manager

Job Title : Senior Manager – Document & Data Management

Position Overview :

The Senior Manager – Document & Data Management will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining systems for efficient control, distribution, and archiving of project and engineering documents across solar and renewable projects. The role involves ensuring compliance with documentation standards, version control, and structured data management to support traceability, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement document control processes and systems for project, engineering, and operational documentation.
• Manage document lifecycle — creation, review, approval, distribution, and archival — in accordance with internal and external quality standards.
• Ensure version control and metadata management for all technical and non-technical documents.
• Lead the data governance framework across multiple projects ensuring integrity, security, and accessibility of data.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Procurement, Projects, Quality, and Manufacturing) to ensure timely document updates and dissemination.
• Administer and optimize Document Management Systems (DMS / EDMS) such as Aconex, SharePoint, or equivalent platforms.
• Develop document numbering systems, templates, and standard formats to ensure consistency across departments.
• Support audit and compliance requirements through effective documentation and traceability of records.
• Maintain project-wise data repositories , dashboards, and document registers to track progress and approvals.
• Train and mentor document controllers and other team members on best practices and document handling protocols.

Qualifications & Experience :

Preferred Industry Background :

Candidates from Renewable Energy, EPC, Solar Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, or Infrastructure sectors with large-scale documentation and data management exposure.
