Senior SQL Developer - Database Design

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead / Sr SQL Developer to join our team in a hybrid model in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will be an expert in core SQL database design principles and possess strong SQL coding skills for application development. This role is focused on the application layer, not production support. You will be instrumental in designing scalable data models, optimizing query performance in enterprise environments, and collaborating with application teams to ensure efficient and robust data interactions. We're looking for someone who can confidently walk an interviewer through their approach to designing a database at scale.

Key Responsibilities :

• Database Design and Modeling : Design and develop logical and physical data models that effectively support complex application requirements.
• SQL Development & Optimization : Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformation logic. Your focus will be on ensuring efficient data access patterns that scale under high load.
• Application Collaboration : Work closely with application developers to ensure seamless and scalable database interactions. You will be a key resource in bridging the gap between application logic and database performance.
• Performance Tuning : Proactively monitor and improve query performance, ensuring the database remains responsive and reliable even under peak usage. You will use various performance tuning techniques to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
• Best Practices and Code Review : Participate in peer code reviews to maintain code quality and contribute to the development of best practices for data access and modeling across the team.
