Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT System Admin / Sever Manager to join our growing IT team. This role will provide advanced technical support across the organization, lead IT support projects, and mentor junior support staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infrastructure, end-user support, and IT systems administration, with a proactive attitude and a customer-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL, etc.)
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls
- Perform server monitoring, patching, and upgrades
- Troubleshoot and resolve server-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime
- Maintain and monitor system backups, disaster recovery, and failover solutions
- Configure and manage web servers (Apache, Nginx), DNS, DHCP, FTP, SMTP
- Monitor system performance and resource utilization (CPU, Memory, Disk, Network)
- Ensure server hardening, security patches, and compliance with best practices
- Work with firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs
- Automate routine tasks using shell scripting (Bash / Python / Perl)
- Collaborate with DevOps / Cloud teams for deployments and integration
Required Skills & Qualifications
3–5 years of proven experience as a Linux / System AdministratorStrong knowledge of Linux operating systems (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL, Debian)Experience in server virtualization (VMware, KVM, Hyper-V, etc.)Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plusHands-on with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana)Good understanding of network protocols (TCP / IP, DNS, HTTP, SSH, SMTP, NFS)Knowledge of firewall configuration and system security best practicesStrong skills in shell scripting and automationProblem-solving mindset and ability to work in a 24 / 7 environment (if required) Preferred QualificationsCertifications like RHCSA, RHCE, LPIC, CompTIA Linux+ Skills : switches,active directory,inventory,access,it,servers,infrastructure,firewallsSkills Required
