Job Summary

Amex GBT is seeking a Senior Process Mining Analyst to enhance our traveler care and finance processes through sophisticated data analytics and process mining techniques. In this cross-functional role, you will leverage your analytical expertise to identify process inefficiencies, drive data-driven decision-making, and optimize financial operations that impact traveler care.

What You'll Do

• Process Analysis and Optimization
• Analyze current traveler care and finance processes related to traveler care, ensuring they align with business objectives and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
• Utilize process mining methodologies to map workflows, uncover bottlenecks, and streamline operations.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, and technology teams to drive process improvement initiatives that enhance service delivery.
• Data Management and Visualization
• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from diverse traveler care and finance systems for in-depth analysis.
• Develop interactive dashboards and reports to visualize key financial metrics and process performance, facilitating decision-making at all levels.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity while adhering to compliance standards in financial reporting.
• Project Management
• Lead finance-focused process mining projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timely delivery of outcomes.
• Handle project scope, timelines, and stakeholder expectations, providing regular updates to leadership on progress and performance.
• Conduct workshops and meetings with relevant teams to gather requirements and validate process improvement findings.
• Technical Expertise and Innovation
• Apply process mining techniques and best practices to enhance financial analytics and reporting capabilities.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in process mining and data analytics, generating innovative solutions to complex financial challenges.
• Work closely with IT and data engineering teams to improve data infrastructure and support effective implementation mining initiatives.
• Training and Mentorship
• Mentor junior analysts in process mining methodologies, encouraging a culture of continuous learning and data-driven insights.
• Facilitate training sessions for cross-functional teams to enhance their understanding and usage of process mining insights to improve finance operations.
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Education
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Data Science, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in process analysis, finance analytics, or a related field, with a focus on process mining methodologies.
• Demonstrable experience in improving finance processes within a corporate environment, preferably in travel or service industries.
• Skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a validated ability to interpret complex financial data and metrics.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools, analytical software, and financial modeling techniques.
• Familiarity with business process modeling notation (BPMN) and a solid understanding of finance operations is highly desirable.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, capable of communicating analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Certifications (Preferred)
• Relevant certifications in process mining, data analytics, or financial analysis (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, or similar).
