Job description15+ years of technical experience with VMware and related technologies Proven experience deploying, upgrading, and managing NSX-T environments Demonstrated experience migrating NSX-V to NSX-T environments Hands-on experience deploying, managing, and utilizing Aria Operations for Networks (VRNI) Proficiency using Aria Operations for Networks (VRNI) to analyze network traffic and develop micro-segmentation rules Experience creating and implementing micro-segmentation policies for NSX Expertise installing, configuring, and managing virtual networks Expertise installing, configuring, and managing virtual load balancers 5+ years of experience as a network engineer / architect Ability to work independently in a remote environment Excellent problem-solving abilities Strong communication and collaboration skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field Required certifications : VCP-NV, VCAP-NV Preferred certifications : VCP-DCV, VCP-CMA, VCAP-DCV, VCAP-CMA, VCDX-NV, VCP-VCF
Role Description
We are seeking a VMware NSX Consultant for a remote contract position. In this role, you will handle day-to-day tasks including configuration, management, migration, and troubleshooting of VMware NSX environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead architecture, design, and deployment initiatives for VMware NSX and Aria Operations for Networks
- Oversee deployment and configuration of NSX, Aria Operations for Networks, and additional network tools as needed
- Collaborate with customers to define business and technical requirements for NSX-based private and hybrid cloud solutions
- Design and implement multi-site architectures, network provisioning, workload management, configuration management, and disaster recovery strategies
- Facilitate technical discussions, workshops, and knowledge transfer sessions for clients and internal teams
- Integrate NSX with third-party platforms including infrastructure, storage, networking, and security solutions
- Create and deliver technical documentation, design documents, and best practices for NSX deployments
- Mentor junior technical consultants and provide guidance on troubleshooting and optimization
- Support pre-sales activities by helping scope and position NSX and other networking solutions for clients
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements
