This role forms a key part of ADTRAN’s “Subscriber Solutions” group which requires prior experience in all areas of product development life cycle : conceptualizing, developing prototypes, testing and perfecting designs.  Assignments are broad, requiring independent judgment in applying engineering. We would look favorably on skills and experience with a focus on wireless and telecommunications systems.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Active participation in Architectural design discussions

Work closely with Product management to come up with design and Development Plans

Keep himself / herself up to date with the industry domain knowledge

Participation in all required meetings like daily stand-up, agile planning etc.

Mentor the team members in development and test areas

Provide guidance and technical help whenever asked by any team member

Basic Qualifications :

Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent professional experience) in Electrical Engineering (or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Information Science) required.

8-11 Years of active experience is must to have.

In-depth knowledge of NMS / EMS and FCAPS technologies.

Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Linux internals.

Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, Ruby, Bash).

Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and development .

Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, C++ , or similar.

Hands on knowledge on L2 / L3 network device functionality, configuration, User Interface protocols (MQTT, TR69, TCP / IP, UDP, SNMP, Netconf, DHCP, IGMP, PPP, PPPoE, SSH, SFTP etc.)

Working experience in Agile development environment (e.g. Safe etc.)

Preferred Qualifications :

Familiarity with CI / CD tools and processes (e.g., Jenkins).

Experience with API design and development (RESTful, gRPC).

Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Familiarity with cloud platforms (OpenStack, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

Experience with messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).

Understanding of database technologies, both SQL and NoSQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).

Proven experience in performance testing, benchmarking, and scalability engineering.

Good understanding of enterprise grade network solution requirements

Good Understanding on 802.11ac, 802.11ax wireless protocols and functionalities like mesh, L2 / L3 roaming, wireless authentication mechanisms like WPA2, WPA3 etc.
