SAP S / 4HANA PP (Production Planning) Consultant

We are seeking an experienced SAP S / 4HANA PP Consultant with 4-6 years of hands-on experience specializing in the Production Planning module. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SAP PP implementation, support, and enhancement projects, with a strong understanding of manufacturing business processes, production planning, and execution within the SAP environment. This is a critical role focused on delivering efficient and scalable production planning solutions that align with business objectives and drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and participate in end-to-end SAP S / 4HANA PP module implementations, including requirement gathering, blueprinting, configuration, testing, and go-live support.
  • Analyze and understand manufacturing and production planning business processes to recommend best practices and SAP solutions that optimize production workflows.
  • Configure core PP components such as Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Capacity Planning, Shop Floor Control, Production Orders, BOMs (Bill of Materials), Routing, and Work Centers.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including SAP MM, SD, QM, and FI modules to ensure seamless integration and data flow across the SAP landscape.
  • Provide expert support for SAP PP post-go-live issues, troubleshooting problems, and delivering timely resolutions to minimize production disruptions.
  • Identify and implement system enhancements, custom reports, and interfaces to improve production planning accuracy and reporting capabilities.
  • Assist in data migration and validation activities during SAP S / 4HANA upgrades or new implementations.
  • Support user training sessions and develop documentation to enhance user adoption and operational efficiency.
  • Work with business stakeholders and process owners to understand evolving requirements and translate them into effective SAP PP solutions.
  • Stay current with SAP S / 4HANA innovations, updates, and industry best practices to recommend continuous improvements.

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience working with the SAP Production Planning (PP) module in SAP S / 4HANA environments.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning concepts, and shop floor execution within the SAP ecosystem.
  • Proven experience with configuration and customization of key SAP PP components including MRP, Capacity Planning, Production Orders, BOM, and Routings.
  • Familiarity with integration points between SAP PP and other modules such as MM (Materials Management), SD (Sales & Distribution), QM (Quality Management), and FI / CO (Finance & Controlling).
  • Solid understanding of SAP S / 4HANA architecture and functionalities, especially related to production planning and manufacturing.
  • Experience supporting SAP PP in both implementation and ongoing support / enhancement projects.
  • Ability to analyze business processes, identify gaps, and recommend SAP solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with both technical teams and business users.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet project deadlines.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • SAP certification in Production Planning (PP) or SAP S / 4HANA is a plus.
  • Experience with advanced production planning scenarios such as repetitive manufacturing, discrete manufacturing, and process industries.
  • Knowledge of SAP PP-PI (Production Planning for Process Industries) is an advantage.
  • Exposure to SAP Activate methodology and Agile project management practices.
