Role Overview
As an Area Manager based in Chennai, you will be responsible for managing daily branch operations, driving business growth, ensuring compliance with RBI guidelines, and achieving financial targets. You will lead a team of branch managers and staff to deliver superior customer service and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities / KRAs
- Manage day-to-day operations of assigned branches ensuring smooth functioning
 - Lead, mentor, and motivate branch teams to achieve individual and organizational goals
 - Monitor and drive branch performance to meet or exceed business targets (Revenue, Sales, Cost Control)
 - Ensure full compliance with RBI regulations and internal policies
 - Develop and execute effective business strategies to expand market share
 - Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure high customer satisfaction and retention
 - Analyze financial reports and branch performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
 - Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to ensure operational integrity
 - Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Compliance, and HR for seamless operations
 - Handle customer escalations and resolve operational challenges promptly
 - Organize periodic training sessions for branch staff on product knowledge and compliance
 
Skillsets Required
Proven experience (3-5 years) in team management and leadership, preferably in financial services or forex industryStrong knowledge of foreign exchange services, RBI guidelines, and compliance processesGood financial acumen with a focus on achieving business targetsExcellent customer service and relationship management capabilitiesEffective communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to analyze data, prepare reports, and derive actionable insightsStrategic thinking with the ability to develop and implement business plansProblem-solving attitude and ability to handle escalationsProficiency in MS Office and CRM systemsEducational Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Commerce, or a related field
Postgraduate qualification is a plus
