Role Description

We are looking for a Cost Accountant who will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our cost structures. The role involves analysing production costs, preparing cost statements, maintaining cost records, and supporting management with data-driven insights for pricing and profitability decisions. The ideal candidate has strong analytical acumen, manufacturing cost experience, and a keen eye for process efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain cost sheets, variance analysis, and product-wise profitability reports.

Analyse manufacturing costs, material consumption, labour, and overheads to identify areas of cost optimization.

Ensure accurate inventory valuation, standard costing, and work-in-progress (WIP) reporting.

Support budgeting and forecasting processes with cost data and insights.

Conduct cost audits, reconcile cost accounts with financial accounts, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.

Collaborate with procurement, production, and finance teams to establish and monitor cost control mechanisms.

Support management in pricing decisions, make-or-buy analysis, and CAPEX evaluation.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

CMA (Cost & Management Accountant) qualified preferred.

2–6 years of experience in costing and management accounting in a manufacturing or energy / technology setup.

Strong working knowledge of cost accounting standards, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar), and MS Excel.

Strong analytical and numerical skills.

Detail-oriented with a structured approach to problem-solving.

Ability to interpret financial data and communicate insights clearly.

Collaborative mindset with cross-functional working ability.

Integrity, accuracy, and accountability in financial reporting.
