Job Role : WLAN Automation QA

We are looking for a skilled WLAN Automation QA professional to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests for WLAN systems, with a focus on Python-based frameworks and wireless networking protocols. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including firmware, hardware, and network engineers, to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of WLAN products.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop, maintain, and execute test automation scripts using Python and frameworks such as Pytest, PyATS, and Robot Framework.
- Design and implement API automation tests using Flask and related technologies.
- Plan, execute, and manage automated WLAN testing for L2 / L3 networking and wireless protocols.
- Collaborate with development and firmware teams to identify, log, and track defects, and support root cause analysis.
- Maintain and manage version control systems such as Git for test scripts and automation frameworks.
- Participate in integration, system, and regression testing to ensure high-quality releases.
- Work closely with product, design, and QA teams to provide feedback on software and firmware performance.
- Contribute to the development of test strategies, test plans, and test dashboards to ensure project timelines and quality goals are met.
Key Skills & Requirements :
Strong experience as a Python Developer with hands-on expertise in test automation.Proficiency in Pytest, PyATS, Robot Framework, or equivalent test automation frameworks.Knowledge of Flask framework for API automation and testing.Solid understanding of L2 / L3 networking and wireless protocols, including Wi-Fi standards.Experience with version control systems such as Git.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex automation and network issues.Good understanding of embedded systems, WLAN device drivers, and firmware interactions is a plus.Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.Preferred Skills :
Prior experience in WLAN or embedded systems testing.Knowledge of CI / CD pipelines and test automation integration.Understanding of network performance metrics, throughput, and latency testing.(ref : hirist.tech)
