JOB TITLE : IBMYP / DP Theatre / Drama teacher

COLLABORATES WITH : Art(s) departments. EY / MY / DP Teachers, Head of MY / EY, IB

Coordinators, ICT.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB : Teach academic drama classes.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Teaching MYP / DP Drama up to 20 periods per week.
• Coordinating performances with outside artists as and when required.
• Supporting students in independent performance-related projects.
• Promoting an inclusive and visible theatre community within the school that challenges students with a range of diverse and relevant projects and performances.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED :

Degree in drama / theatre from a recognized university.

Experience teaching drama / theatre.

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED :

Familiarity and experience with a variety of theatre styles and traditions.

Desire to collaborate across disciplines with music, art, and other academic departments.

Active in theatre communities within India and / or abroad.
