Role Overview
The Asset Launch Program Manager is accountable for ensuring end-to-end launch readiness by driving operational excellence in launch planning and execution across global medical and cross-functional teams. The role also acts as a strategic integrator, connecting key functions to deliver timely, aligned, and high-impact asset launches.
Partnering closely with Launch Excellence teams and regional/local affiliates, the role ensures disciplined execution while enabling agility throughout the launch lifecycle to maximize strategic launch value.
Key Responsibilities
Launch Planning & Execution
- Lead integrated launch planning across the asset lifecycle with clear milestones, dependencies, and success metrics
- Own program governance, timelines, and critical path management
- Ensure launch readiness through disciplined execution and adaptive planning
Cross-Functional Leadership & Alignment
- Serve as the central coordination lead across Regulatory, Safety, Clinical, Manufacturing, Market Access, Medical, Commercial, and Legal
- Drive alignment across global, regional, and local stakeholders
- Enable timely decision making through structured forums and clear escalation
Launch Excellence & Affiliate Partnership
- Partner with Launch Excellence teams to apply standards, tools, and best practices
- Collaborate with regional and local affiliates to translate global strategy into executable local plans
- Ensure consistent communication and execution across geographies
Operational Excellence & Risk Management
- Support data-driven decisions through dashboards, KPIs, and readiness metrics
- Proactively identify and mitigate launch risks
- Drive real-time issue resolution and course correction across the launch lifecycle
Governance & Stakeholder Management
- Lead launch governance meetings and senior leadership updates
- Provide transparent visibility into launch status, risks, and trade offs
- Enable leadership confidence in launch readiness and execution quality
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 10 plus years of experience in Pharma or Biotech
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in asset launch planning and execution
- Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional programs in global, matrixed environments
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end drug development and commercialization lifecycle
- Experience partnering with global teams and regional/local affiliates
