Job Title : Sr. Database Engineer

Profile Summary :

We are seeking a data-savvy professional with strong SQL skills and hands-on experience creating dashboards and visualizations that translate data into clear business insights. The ideal candidate excels at understanding reporting requirements, joining and filtering data from relational databases, and presenting results in BI tools like Power BI, Qlik, Tableau, or similar.

Key Responsibilities

Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, join, and filter data from relational databases.

Design and build dashboards, reports, and visualizations based on defined business needs.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable reporting solutions.

Ensure accuracy and consistency of data through validation and reconciliation.

Deliver ad-hoc analysis and reporting support across business functions.

Required Qualifications

7+ years of hands-on experience with SQL (complex query writing, joins, filtering, optimization).

Proficient in one or more BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Domo, or MicroStrategy.

Strong understanding of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Redshift, SQL Server, Oracle).

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a business-focused approach.

Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift, Snowflake).

Familiarity with data quality assurance and BI reporting best practices.

Background in Property & Casualty insurance is a plus.
