1 in 5 people suffer from hearing loss, yet care remains siloed and difficult to access. We're fixing that. We're building an AI-native platform that equips leading hearing care professionals with cutting-edge software to deliver better outcomes, faster.

Open Hearing was founded by Harvard MBAs with firsthand experience building and scaling B2B and B2C unicorns in India. We bring together deep expertise across hearing care, product, and engineering to tackle one of the most overlooked problems in healthcare. We’re combining modern software and generative AI to empower providers and patients with tools that improve outcomes and reduce friction at scale.

What You’ll Do As our Frontend-leaning Full Stack Developer, you’ll play a core role in shaping the experience of both clinicians and patients. You’ll drive web and mobile product development using React and React Native, while also contributing to backend services and AI-powered features.

Create intuitive and delightful web and mobile products for clinicians and patients using React, Next.js, and React Native applications from scratch

Integrate custom generative AI features into user-facing products

Contribute to backend development and APIs when needed

Shape our frontend architecture, best practices, and developer experience

Influence the engineering culture and help set the technical roadmap

What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who thrives in early-stage environments, is passionate about building amazing user experiences, and is excited to work across the stack when needed.

Must-haves Strong proficiency in React, Next.js, and React Native

Experience building high-performance web and mobile apps end-to-end

Hands-on experience with streaming use cases (e.g. real-time data, audio / video, or live updates)

Strong product sense and a passion for beautiful, intuitive UI / UX

Preferred Good understanding of backend concepts, ideally with Java and PostgreSQL

Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)

Experience building AI-native applications

Exposure to genAI orchestration, evaluation frameworks, or RAG pipelines

Familiarity with tools like Whisper, LangChain, or LLM hosting (SageMaker, Vertex AI)

Experience in transcription, medical documentation, or clinical workflows
