We're looking for a leader who is both a technical expert and a world-class manager to take ownership of our most critical projects.
The Role
This is not a standard, checklist-driven PM role. We are seeking a PMP-certified technical leader to take complete end-to-end responsibility for our Data & AI division.
You will be the single point of accountability for a portfolio of complex data analytics and machine learning projects. You will manage a high-performing team, interface directly with executive-level clients, and ensure flawless, on-time delivery. The ideal candidate is a former engineer or data scientist who loves managing people, processes, and client relationships without losing their technical edge.
What You'll Do
Own It All : Command the entire project lifecycle—from initial technical discovery, solution architecture, and scoping with clients to final deployment, launch, and post-delivery support.Lead the Tech : Serve as the hands-on technical authority for projects, guiding your team on best practices within the GCP ecosystem (BigQuery, Vertex AI, Looker, GKE, etc.). You won't just track tasks;you'll understand the why behind the architecture.
Master the Delivery : Implement and enforce rigorous Agile / Scrum methodologies, removing roadblocks, managing budgets, and guaranteeing on-time, high-quality delivery.Manage the Experts : Lead, mentor, and inspire a dedicated team of data scientists, ML engineers, and data analysts. You will be responsible for their performance, growth, and engagement.Delight the Client : Act as the primary technical and strategic partner for our clients. Translate complex business needs into actionable project plans, manage expectations, and build relationships built on trust and results.Required Qualifications (The "Must-Haves")
PMP Certification : Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is non-negotiable .Technical Project Management : 5+ years of demonstrable experience managing complex software, data analytics, or AI / ML projects from start to finish.Hands-on GCP Expertise : Deep, practical knowledge of the Google Cloud Platform data stack. You must be able to confidently discuss and challenge technical decisions related to BigQuery, Vertex AI, Dataflow, and Looker.Data & AI Fluency : Proven experience delivering data-centric projects (e.G., data warehousing, BI dashboards, predictive modeling, ML Ops).Elite Leadership Skills : Evidence of "extremely good" team management—you're a natural leader who knows how to motivate, unblock, and grow a team of A-players.Client-Facing Excellence : Polished and professional communication skills with a history of successfully managing senior stakeholders and C-level clients.Preferred Qualifications (The "Bonus Points")
GCP Certification : A Google Cloud Professional certification (e.G., Cloud Architect, Data Engineer) is highly preferred.Technical Background : A prior career as a Data Engineer, Software Developer, or Data Scientist before moving into management.Agile Certification : Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or similar Agile certification.Why Zelarsoft?
