Job Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer with 6+ years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of network infrastructures and expertise in supporting complex network environments. As a Senior Network Engineer (L2 / L3 Support), you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation, optimization, and security of the organization's network systems. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving high-level network issues, managing critical network infrastructure, and supporting network projects.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide L2 / L3 technical support for network-related issues across LAN, WAN, and Data Center environments.
  • Configure, monitor, and maintain Cisco, Dell, and HP switches, routers, and other networking equipment.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex network performance and connectivity issues.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, and Cisco Prime to identify problems and optimize network performance.
  • Implement and manage security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS / IPS, and other security measures to safeguard the network infrastructure.
  • Assist in the design, planning, and execution of network upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
  • Support and troubleshoot network devices, cabling, routing protocols, and network topologies.
  • Collaborate with other teams, including system administrators, security, and application teams, to ensure smooth network operations and resolve cross-functional issues.
  • Maintain detailed documentation for network configurations, troubleshooting steps, and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging networking technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to junior network engineers and staff.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • Proficiency with Networking Equipment : Strong hands-on experience with configuring and managing Cisco, Dell, and HP switches and routers.
  • Network Troubleshooting : Ability to identify and resolve complex network issues effectively, with a focus on minimizing downtime.
  • Diagnostic Tools : Expertise in using diagnostic and monitoring tools such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, and Cisco Prime for network analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Security Knowledge : Deep understanding of network security, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS / IPS, and other security mechanisms to ensure network integrity and confidentiality.
  • Network Architecture : Knowledge of LAN, WAN, and Data Center network architectures and their respective protocols (e.g., TCP / IP, BGP, OSPF, etc.).
  • Experience with Routing Protocols : Strong understanding of common routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
  • Problem-Solving Skills : Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving complex network issues.
  • Communication Skills : Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Team Collaboration : Ability to work effectively in a team environment, providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship as needed.

    • Preferred Skills (optional) :

  • Certifications such as CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) or CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert).
  • Experience with cloud networking technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure) and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Experience with network automation and orchestration tools.
  • Experience with SD-WAN technologies.
