Profile Summary :

The Senior Tax & Compliance Specialist will manage HID India's statutory, tax, and regulatory compliance requirements across direct tax, indirect tax (GST), corporate law, RBI, STPI, and customs. This role will act as the central point of coordination with external consultants, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant filings in line with statutory due dates.

The role requires a disciplined approach to maintaining statutory registers, preparing reconciliations, and ensuring accuracy of data shared for compliance filings. It will also involve active coordination with internal teams, banks, and regulatory authorities to support HID's growing operations in India.

The position demands a high level of ownership, strong attention to detail, and the ability to streamline compliance processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and readiness for statutory audits and assessments.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Prepare and share TDS registers for monthly and quarterly direct tax compliances with external consultants to ensure timely and accurate filing of returns.
• Prepare and share GST registers for multiple state registrations (including ISD) with external consultants to ensure timely filing of monthly and annual GST returns.
• Prepare and share statutory data for RoC compliances such as DIR-3 KYC, DPT-3, MSME, and annual filings (AOC-4, MGT-7, XBRL) with company secretarial consultants for timely filing of returns.
• Prepare and share data for STPI compliances, including monthly SOFTEX forms and annual APR (Annual Performance Report), and coordinate with consultants to ensure timely submission to STPI authorities.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining data related to imports and make appropritae duty payments and other compliances related to Customs.
• Assist in preparing and sharing data with Company Secretarial consultants for RBI regulatory filings, including the annual Foreign Liabilities and Assets (FLA) return and other applicable submissions for timely and accurate filing of returns.
• Coordinate with the AD banker to monitor and clear open EDPMS and IDPMS entries.
• Maintain records and ensure timely convening of mandatory Board Meetings and other statutory meetings as per Companies Act requirement
• Coordinate with external consultants during their monthly visits for verification of statutory registers, records, and to support other routine inspections and compliance checks under applicable laws.
• Maintain and reconcile tax payable and receivable accounts with accounting records and statutory filings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in preparation of tax schedules, revenue reconciliation with GST filings, transfer pricing documentation (including Form 3CEB and local file data collation), related-party disclosures for statutory and tax audits.
• Assist preparing data for respond to tax assessments, notices, and queries in coordination with external tax consultants.
• Maintain up-to-date tax registrations and other statutory registrations (new registrations, renewals amendments, and cancellations as needed).
