Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Quant Developer to join our quantitative development team. This role is ideal for someone with strong programming skills, a solid grounding in mathematics / finance, and a keen interest in asset–liability modeling. Initially, you will support senior quant developers with data handling, process automation, and tool development. Over time, you will gain exposure to and participate in the design, implementation, and validation of asset and liability models used in risk management, valuation, and financial planning.
Key Responsibilities
Initial Responsibilities (Support Phase)
- Assist in the development, testing, and maintenance of quantitative tools and libraries.
- Work with large financial datasets : cleaning, transforming, and preparing them for analysis.
- Automate reporting and model execution pipelines to improve team efficiency.
- Support senior developers and modelers in debugging, code reviews, and documentation.
- Implement validation routines to ensure numerical accuracy and stability of models.
Progressive Responsibilities (Modeling Phase)
Contribute to the development and enhancement of asset and liability models, including cash flow projections, pricing, and valuation frameworks.Implement numerical and statistical techniques (e.g., Monte Carlo simulations, curve construction, optimization) under guidance.Participate in stress testing, scenario analysis, and sensitivity studies.Collaborate with actuaries and risk managers to align model outputs with business needs.Support model governance : documentation, regulatory requirements, and internal validation.Qualifications & Skills
Essential :
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or related) from Tier I colleges (IIT, IIIT, NIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, BITS, Top colleges etc)Proficiency in quantitative techniques, statistical analysis, programming languages, C++ / C# or Python programmingSolid foundation in numerical methods, probability, and statistics.Ability to work collaboratively in fast paced environment, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.Preferred / Nice to Have :
Familiarity with financial instruments and products (fixed income, derivatives, insurance liabilities).Exposure to SQL and database management.Knowledge of stochastic modeling, optimization techniques, and machine learning applications in finance.#quantitave #quant #quantitative developer #quantitative analyst
