Job Summary :
We are looking for a detail-oriented Embedded Systems Engineer with expertise in designing and developing Hardware and firmware for high-voltage power electronic systems. The ideal candidate will have experience interfacing with analog and digital components in high voltage environments and a strong understanding of real-time control for power conversion, safety, and monitoring functions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop embedded Hardware firmware for control and monitoring of DC-DC converters, inverters, SMPS, etc..
- Design and Interface microcontrollers / DSPs with sensors, gate drivers, ADCs, and other system peripherals.
- Implement real-time control algorithms for current, voltage, temperature, and fault protection.
- Design communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS485, Modbus, etc.) between control units and external systems.
- Collaborate with hardware and power electronics teams for board bring-up, debugging, and testing.
- Ensure system safety through robust fault detection, isolation, and recovery logic.
- Develop low-level drivers for custom PCBs and support bootloader development.
- Optimize code for speed, memory usage, and power efficiency.
- Support EMI / EMC testing and ensure firmware complies with relevant medical or industrial standards.
- Create clear documentation for code, interfaces, and firmware revision history.
Qualifications & Skills :
Bachelor's or Master's in Electronics, Embedded Systems, or Electrical Engineering.5–7 years of experience in embedded Hardware development for products.Proficiency in Embedded C for real-time embedded systems (ARM Cortex-M, TI C2000, STM32, etc.).Familiarity with RTOS environments (FreeRTOS, TI-RTOS, or similar).Knowledge of power electronics systems and control techniques (PID, PWM, soft-start, overcurrent / overvoltage protection).Hands-on experience in debugging tools : oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG / SWD.Understanding of safety-critical systems and firmware design in high-voltage environments.Preferred :
Experience in medical device firmware design (e.g., IEC 60601 compliance).Proficient with Altium Designer (or similar EDA tools).Experience designing microcontrollers, microprocessors, and integrating a wide range of sensors in medical devicesUnderstanding functional safety and embedded cybersecurity practices.Familiarity with EMC / EMI regulations, especially in medical applications.Familiarity with version control (Git), documentation tools, and CI / CD pipelines.Work Environment :
Collaboration with cross-functional teams in electronics, mechanical, and compliance domains.Lab work involving interaction with high-voltage systems under strict safety protocols.Occasional vendor interactionTravel 10 to 20 % of the time.Show more
