Job description

Title : Engineer (ME - Toolroom)

Experience level : 1 to 3 years

Core Responsibilities :

  • Execute Proto engine Assembly, Testing, Painting and Packing Process .
  • Establish Facility / Process for new or modified engines .
  • Conduct Proto trails and execute Engine proto assembly as per plan.
  • Prepare and update process documents / work instruction, tool lists .
  • Establish new fastening tools and assembly fixtures .
  • Conduct time, motion, and work study .
  • Execute Process change management for continual improvement through Productivity, Quality, Cost, and Safety.
  • Update programs for new Electrical fastening tools and Testing cycles in respective software.
  • Execute Process improvement and Quality improvement by implementation of different levels of Poka-Yoke , Low cost automations , and work standardization .

Essential Skills & Knowledge

Must have Knowledge of following

  • Assembly, Testing, Painting and Packing process, preferably in the Engine industry.
  • Tightening techniques and fastening tools.
  • Motion study, capacity planning & Cycle time calculation.
  • Process and costing.
  • Technical Drawing & Standards :
  • Component and assembly drawing.
  • GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and Drawing reading.
  • Engine terminology and their measurement methods.

    • In Quality & Management Systems :

  • Knowledge of systems like ISO / TS, Kaizen, 5S, and lean manufacturing practices.
  • Software & Equipment :
  • Testing software and drafting (AutoCAD) software.
  • Material handling systems and equipment.

  • Proactive, innovative, team player
