Amity University Punjab seeks a dynamic and research-driven Associate Professor of Computer Science to contribute to high-quality teaching, innovation, and academic excellence. The role involves delivering advanced computer science education, guiding research, and supporting the university’s mission of fostering industry-ready professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Academic Delivery
- Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Computer Science, including core and advanced subjects such as Data Structures, Algorithms, AI / ML, Database Systems, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, and related domains.
- Develop and continuously update course curricula to meet industry standards and emerging technologies.
- Mentor students in academic progress, research projects, internships, and career development.
- Utilize innovative teaching methodologies, digital tools, and outcome-based education (OBE) principles.
Research & Publications
Conduct high-quality research in specialized areas of Computer Science.Publish in reputed national and international journals and conferences (Scopus / WoS indexed preferred).Guide M.Tech. / Ph.D. scholars and assist in building research culture within the department.Apply for research funding, collaborate on interdisciplinary projects, and contribute to institutional research output.Administrative & Academic Leadership
Participate in departmental activities, curriculum reviews, academic audits, and accreditation processes (NAAC / NBA).Assist in shaping policies, enhancing academic standards, and supporting the School of Engineering & Technology.Contribute to student outreach programs, workshops, hackathons, seminars, and technical events.Industry & Community Engagement
Foster collaborations with industry partners, research labs, and professional bodies.Encourage student involvement in internships, certifications, and real-world project development.Participate in community outreach, technical awareness programs, and university initiatives.Qualifications
Ph.D. in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Information Technology from a recognized university (mandatory as per UGC norms).Master’s degree (M.Tech. / M.E.) in a relevant discipline with strong academic record.Minimum 14+ years of teaching and research experience.Strong publication record in reputed journals (Scopus / WoS / SCI preferred).Evidence of research guidance, funded projects, patents, or innovative technical contributions.Skills & Competencies
Expertise in one or more specialized domains : Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, Data Science, IoT, Cloud Computing, Software Engineering, etc.
