Principal Software Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned and results-driven Principal Software Engineer to join our high-performing development team. This role is ideal for a backend engineering expert with deep experience in database Java technologies and a strong track record of building and supporting data-intensive applications. You will play a critical role in designing scalable high-performance solutions within our Global Store Reference System (GSRS) leveraging a modern tech stack including PostgreSQL Java Spring Boot Python ElasticSearch ReactJS in an Azure cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable high-performance backend systems using Java Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Architect and optimize PostgreSQL and other data stores for reliability and speed enabling high-volume data processing.
• Ensure performance security and scalability of production services and data pipelines.
• Provide hands-on support for mission-critical time-sensitive environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and with Product Operations to deliver solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Champion best practices in code quality performance tuning and maintainability.
• Apply deep understanding of complex business logic to enhance system capabilities and data workflows.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across development deployment and monitoring processes.
