Job Description :
- Team & Resource Management : Decide how to use the data engineering teams time, hire and guide new team members, and train them.
- Set Standards : Create and enforce rules / best practices so that everyones work is consistent and high quality.
- Review Work : Check code and solutions built by others to ensure accuracy.
- Build Frameworks : Design strong, reliable systems for collecting, storing, cleaning, and managing data.
- Improve Systems : Continuously upgrade the data platform to make it faster, more secure, and more efficient.
- Try New Tools : Explore and test new technologies that can improve data engineering.
- Vendor Collaboration : Work with external software providers to make sure their tools suit the companys needs.
- Problem Solving : Work with business leaders to find and solve data-related problems.
Skills & Qualifications Needed :
Education : Bachelors in Computer Science / IT / related field (Masters preferred).Experience : At least 6+ years in data engineering or architecture, and experience leading teams.Tech Skills :
Strong in Python and SQL.Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred, but AWS / GCP also okay).Experience with data warehouses like Snowflake or BigQuery.Familiarity with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.).Knowledge of databases (relational, NoSQL, BigData).Exposure to AI / ML / data science is a plus.Ways of Working : Comfortable with Agile and DevOps / DataOps practices.
