Job descriptionConduct proactivequery tuning execution plan analysis and indexing strategiesto optimize database performance. Monitor troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks acrossOracle MS SQL Server and Snowflake. Implementpartitioning replication resource governor and cachingto improve data access and efficiency. Design and implement HA / DR solutions for all supported databases includingMS Clustering Oracle Data Guard and AlwaysOn Availability Groups. Performcapacity planning ensure properbackup and recovery strategiesare in place. Automate testfailover and recoveryprocesses to minimize downtime. Implementrole-based access control (RBAC) encryption auditing and compliance policiesacross all database environments. Ensure adherence toSOC 2 ISO 27001 GDPR and HIPAAsecurity standards. Collaborate with security teams to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities. Integrate database changes intoCI / CD pipelines ensuringautomated schema migrations and rollbacks. UseTerraform or other IAC toolsfor database provisioning and configuration management. Automate routine maintenance tasks monitoring and alerting usingNew Relic and PagerDuty or similar. Managecloud-based database solutionssuch asAzure SQL on VM SQL on EC2 Oracle on EC2 and Snowflake. Work withNoSQL solutions like MongoDBwhen needed. Supportdata warehousing and analytics solutions(e.g. Snowflake) Provideon-call supportfor database-related production incidents on a rotational basis. Conductroot cause analysisand implement long-term fixes for database-related issues. 8 years experience managingOraclein enterprise environments. Expertise indatabase performance tuning query optimization and execution plan analysis. Strong experience withreplication clustering and high-availability configurations. Hands-on experience withcloud databases in AWS or Azure(SQL on EC2 Oracle on EC2 Azure SQL etc.) Solid experience withbackup strategies disaster recovery planning and failover testing. Proficiency inT-SQL PL / SQL SQL scripting. Experience automating database tasks usingPowerShell Python or Bash. Familiarity with AlwaysOn Availability Groups Resource Governor. Experience working inDevOps / SRE environmentswithCI / CD for database deployments. Certifications such asOracle DBA Certified Professional Microsoft Certified : Azure Database Administrator Associate or AWS Certified Database Specialty SQL Server knowledge and hands-on Bachelors or masters degree incomputer science Data Engineering or equivalent experience. This role requires asatisfactory Criminal Background Check and Public Safety Verification.

As a Database Administrator (DBA)at Intelex Technologies you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing ourOracle MS SQL Server database environments. You will be responsible for thedesign implementation performance tuning high availability and securityof our database infrastructure across cloud deployments. Working within theCloudOps team you will collaborate with DevOps engineers Developers and SREs to ensure seamless database operations supporting our mission-critical applications.
Responsibilities and Deliverables
Database Administration & Architecture
- Design implement and optimize databases acrossOracle MS SQL Server and Snowflakeenvironments.
- Participate in troubleshooting investigation and RCA of database issues.
- Participate in architecture / design reviews ensuring database structures align with application needs and performance goals.
- Define and maintain best practices forschema design indexing strategies and query optimization.
