Assistant Manager - Treasury & Accounts Payable

About the role We are looking for an experienced and strategic finance professional to lead our debt raising and treasury initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in NBFC lending, established relationships across Banks, AIFs, Mutual Funds, and other debt institutions, and a proven track record of raising debt through various instruments. This role also includes oversight of debt operations, compliance, documentation, and a team of treasury executives. This is a leadership opportunity for someone who can drive end-to-end debt strategy, maintain strong lender relationships, and ensure smooth execution of borrowing activities. What you will do Lead the complete debt fundraising cycle, including origination, structuring, negotiation, and closure of debt deals. Build and manage strong relationships with Banks, NBFCs, DFIs, AIFs, Mutual Funds, and Credit Rating Agencies. Explore and secure term loans, working capital lines, co-lending partnerships, securitization, assignment, and other structured debt instruments. Prepare and present the company’s financials, business performance, and debt requirements to potential lenders and investors. Debt Operations & Compliance Oversee end-to-end debt operations, including documentation, drawdowns, interest payments, covenants, and repayment schedules. Monitor lender covenants, reporting timelines, and ensure 100% compliance. Coordinate with internal teams (Finance, Legal, Compliance, Operations) for smooth execution of loan agreements and ongoing reporting. Manage and streamline processes for DSRA, security perfection, charge filings, RBI / NBFC compliance, and trustee coordination. Collaborate with leadership on annual borrowing plans, treasury strategy, and ALM management. Analyse cost of capital and optimize borrowing mix across short-term and long-term instruments. Prepare MIS and dashboards for management on debt position, utilization, and forecasts. Lead and mentor a team responsible for debt operations, reporting, and compliance. Drive a culture of accuracy, discipline, and timely reporting across the team. Guide analysts on financial models, lender presentations, and credit evaluation support.
