As a Director of Software Engineeringat JPMorgan Chase within the Markets Post Trade Technology Securities Processing Technology team you will lead a technical area and drive impact within teams, technologies, and projects across departments. You will utilize your in-depth knowledge of software, applications, technical processes, and product management to drive multiple complex projects and initiatives, while serving as a primary decision maker for your teams and be a driver of innovation and solution delivery. You will utilize your expertise in modern development tools and technologies, including IntelliJ, VSCode, Microsoft Co-Pilot, AI / ML, KAFKA, JAVA, Testing Automation, and more.

Job Responsibilities :

Leads the software engineering team responsible for post trade securities processing technology.
Oversees application development using IntelliJ, VSCode, Microsoft Co-Pilot, and other modern development tools.
Implements AI / ML solutions to enhance processing efficiency and accuracy.
Utilizes KAFKA for real-time data streaming and processing.
Develops and maintains applications using JAVA, ensuring high performance and scalability. Drive testing automation using tools like Cucumber and Fitness tests to ensure software quality.
Designs and implement Rest APIs and GRPC for seamless integration and communication.
Leads cloud initiatives, leveraging GKP and other cloud technologies for scalable solutions.
Manages both NoSQL and SQL databases, ensuring data integrity and performance.
Develops and execute a comprehensive data strategy aligned with business goals.
Contributes to strategic programs while managing BAU legacy platforms.
Leads and mentors teams across multiple locations, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience. In addition, 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise

Proven experience in software engineering leadership roles, within the financial services industry.

Hands on experience in application development using IntelliJ, VSCode, and Microsoft Co-Pilot.

Experience with AI / ML technologies and their application in software development.

Experience in KAFKA, JAVA, and testing automation tools like Cucumber.

Experience with Rest APIs, GRPC, and cloud technologies such as GKP.

Strong understanding of both NoSQL and SQL databases.

Demonstrated ability to contribute to strategic programs and manage legacy platforms.

Excellent leadership and team management skills, with experience leading teams in multiple locations.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Understanding of the investment banking industry and securities, particularly in fixed income and financing,

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills :

Experience in CIB Markets or related financial services sectors.

Familiarity with data strategy and its implementation in large organizations.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
