The Opportunity

School of the Nativity is looking for an experienced dynamic Primary Years educator who is passionate about inspiring young people and contributing to a thriving, future, focused learning community. This role provides an opportunity to inspire young learners through high-quality teaching, meaningful relationships and a commitment to the holistic development of every child.

The successful applicant will work closely with leaders, colleagues, families and students to create engaging, inclusive and successful learning experiences that promote student agency.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Actively support and contribute to the Catholic identity and Josephite tradition of School of the Nativity and be willing to participate in all aspects of school life.
  • Demonstrate a contemporary understanding of the Australian Curriculum and Crossways and creatively plan, implement and assess differentiated learning programs that ensure quality outcomes for all learners.
  • Use effective assessment practices and data, to monitor progress, provide feedback and report student achievement.
  • A commitment to implementing explicit, evidence-based pedagogies and practices with high engagement routines.
  • Establish routines and structures that promote a productive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Build positive relationships with students, families, colleagues and the broader community

  • Demonstrate skills, knowledge and experience relevant to the role requirements.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative and supportive professional relationships with students, staff and families.
  • Highly organised and committed to ongoing professional growth, collaborative learning and a willingness to implement new initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
