WORKFORCE PLANNING MANAGER

AVM is seeking an experienced Workforce Planning Manager to lead our Workforce Planning and Uniform teams on a 12-month maternity leave contract, helping to deliver world-class events across some of South Australia’s most iconic venues.

Adelaide Venue Management (AVM) is South Australia’s leading provider of venue management services. It is responsible for operating three of Adelaide’s most iconic venues: Adelaide Convention Centre (ACC), Adelaide Entertainment Centre (AEC), and Coopers Stadium (CS), in addition to functions and events at The Drive (TD).

The Role
Reporting to the General Manager, People, you will lead AVM’s workforce planning function, the engine room behind every event we deliver. You will ensure staffing levels, rostering practices and labour resources are precisely aligned with operational requirements, so that every event across our venues run seamlessly.

Drawing on your logistical and workforce planning expertise, you will drive efficient, responsive and cost-effective rostering outcomes. Partnering closely with key stakeholders across the business, you will anticipate and adapt to the ever-changing demands of a vibrant, high-volume events calendar.

You will also lead and support the AVM Uniforms Coordinator, overseeing the effective management of uniform purchasing, issuing, administration, laundering and stock coordination across the organisation, ensuring our people look the part at every event.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

• Proven experience in workforce planning and logistics, with a track record of delivering results.
• A strong working understanding of industrial instruments, including Enterprise Agreements and Awards.
• Lateral thinking, advanced problem-solving skills, emotional intelligence and an adaptable approach that enables you to turn challenging situations into positive outcomes.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive, professional relationships at all levels, with managers, stakeholders and team members from diverse backgrounds.
• Sound working knowledge of Humanforce or similar rostering software (essential), supported by intermediate to advanced computer skills.
• The ability to prioritise and remain focused and solutions-oriented when managing tight deadlines, last-minute roster changes or unexpected team member absences.
• Flexibility with working hours. While standard office hours apply, you may occasionally be required to work outside normal business hours to support our events.
