Job Profile

We are looking for a technically skilled Service Engineer with 2–4 years of experience in industrial automation, pharmaceutical machinery, packaging machines, inspection systems, serialization/Track & Trace, or similar equipment.The candidate should have strong hands-on troubleshooting knowledge across Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Automation, Pneumatics, PLC, Industrial Networking, Computer Hardware, Operating Systems, and Database/Software.The role requires working at customer sites for installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, breakdown troubleshooting, system upgrades, and technical support.

1. Electrical & Electrical TroubleshootingGood knowledge of industrial electrical systems and control panels.

• Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and control schematics.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of 24V DC, AC/DC power supplies, MCB, MCCB, relays, contactors, fuses, SMPS, terminals, and control circuits.
• Ability to use a multimeter for voltage, current, continuity, resistance, and signal checking.
• Troubleshooting of power supply, wiring, cable, grounding, and electrical control issues.
• Basic understanding of electrical safety and industrial machine electrical systems.

2. Electronics & HardwareTroubleshooting of electronic control boards, interface cards, I/O modules, communication cards, and power supply modules.

• Understanding of digital and analog signals.
• Troubleshooting of PC hardware, RAM, SSD/HDD, motherboard, power supply, network cards, and peripherals.
• Ability to identify faulty electronic/electrical modules and replace or test components.
• Understanding of USB, Ethernet, serial communication, and other hardware interfaces.

3. Mechanical & PneumaticsGood hands-on knowledge of industrial machine mechanical systems.

• Troubleshooting of conveyors, belts, rollers, bearings, shafts, gearboxes, motors, guides, brackets, and machine assemblies.
• Basic knowledge of machine alignment and mechanical adjustment.
• Troubleshooting of pneumatic systems including cylinders, solenoid valves, FRL, regulators, air pressure, tubing, and fittings.
• Ability to identify mechanical wear, vibration, abnormal noise, air leakage, and movement-related problems.

4. PLC, Automation & SensorsBasic to intermediate knowledge of PLC, HMI, I/O, sensors, actuators, and industrial automation.

• Understanding of digital/analog inputs and outputs.
• Troubleshooting of proximity sensors, photoelectric sensors, encoders, limit switches, triggers, and safety sensors.
• Ability to monitor PLC I/O and identify sensor/actuator-related problems.
• Basic understanding of PLC logic, machine sequence, interlocks, alarms, and communication.
• Experience with machine installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

5. Industrial Computer, Networking & Software TroubleshootingGood knowledge of Windows OS, computer hardware, LAN, Ethernet, IP address, subnet, gateway, DNS, and network switches.

• Troubleshooting of PC-to-machine and machine-to-machine communication.
• Installation and configuration of application software.
• Troubleshooting of Windows services, application failures, communication errors, and system configuration issues.
• Ability to analyze Windows Event Viewer and application logs.
• Basic knowledge of Linux/CentOS/Ubuntu will be an advantage.
• Good to Have Skills

6. Industrial Camera & Vision SystemsExperience with industrial cameras such as Basler, IDS, or equivalent.

• Camera triggering and image-acquisition troubleshooting.
• Camera communication through Ethernet, USB, FireWire, or applicable interfaces.
• Basic knowledge of exposure, focus, lighting, image quality, and inspection parameters.
• Troubleshooting camera connectivity and image-capture issues.

7. Barcode Scanner & PrinterExperience with industrial 1D/2D barcode and QR-code scanners/readers.

• Scanner configuration and communication troubleshooting.
• Experience with industrial printers used for coding, labeling, or serialization.
• Troubleshooting printer communication and print-quality issues.

8. Database & SQLBasic to intermediate knowledge of MySQL / SQL.

• Knowledge of SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, JOIN, and basic database troubleshooting.
• Understanding of database tables, records, indexes, and relationships.
• Ability to check production data and application logs for troubleshooting.
• Basic knowledge of database backup and restore.

9. Track & Trace / SerializationExperience or knowledge of Pharmaceutical Track & Trace and Serialization systems.

• Understanding of Unit, Bundle, Case/Shipper, and Pallet hierarchy.
• Knowledge of barcode generation, scanning, verification, aggregation, and reconciliation.
• Basic understanding of Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and Level 4 architecture.
• Knowledge of serialization data flow and production systems.

10. System Integration & CommunicationKnowledge of SFTP, SAP ATTP, TraceLink, or similar enterprise integrations.

• Understanding of application-to-database and machine-to-server communication.
• Basic knowledge of APIs/interfaces and data exchange.
• Troubleshooting of connectivity and integration-related issues.

11. Database Server / Linux / IISBasic knowledge of MySQL Server administration.

• Backup and restore procedures.
• Basic Linux server troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of CentOS/Ubuntu/Oracle Linux is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of IIS, .NET applications, and Windows services.

12. Preventive Maintenance & DocumentationExperience in preventive and corrective maintenance.

• Machine health checks and preventive-maintenance activities.
• Preparation of service reports, maintenance reports, and troubleshooting records.
• Spare-part identification and replacement.
• Ability to maintain technical documentation and equipment history.
