Job description

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Oracle APEX Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade web applications using Oracle Application Express (APEX). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of PL / SQL, Oracle Database architecture, and a proven track record of delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing applications.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, develop, and deploy responsive web applications using Oracle APEX (v19.x or higher).
  • Develop complex PL / SQL code, stored procedures, triggers, functions, and packages to support application logic.
  • Integrate Oracle APEX applications with RESTful web services, APIs, and third-party systems.
  • Optimize SQL queries and ensure high application performance and scalability.
  • Implement security standards, authentication / authorization, and data access controls within APEX.
  • Work closely with business analysts, functional consultants, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Manage and perform APEX application deployments across environments (DEV / UAT / PROD).
  • Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and optimize existing applications.
  • Document technical designs, processes, and configurations for ongoing maintenance.
  • Collaborate with DBAs and infrastructure teams for database design, performance tuning, and application hosting.

Technical Skills Required :

  • Strong hands-on experience in Oracle APEX (19.x / 20.x / 21.x / 22.x / 23.x)
  • Expertise in Oracle SQL and PL / SQL development.
  • Good understanding of Oracle Database architecture (12c, 19c, or later).
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX for UI customization in APEX.
  • Experience with RESTful Web Services, JSON, and XML integrations.
  • Knowledge of Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS).
  • Experience in application performance tuning and debugging.
  • Familiarity with version control tools (Git, Bitbucket, SVN).
  • Exposure to CI / CD pipelines and DevOps practices is a plus.
  • Experience with APEX security (Session State Protection, Access Control, Data Encryption).
  • Knowledge of APEX Administration, Workspace management, and Application Export / Import processes.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Oracle APEX Certification (Optional but preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, AWS, or Azure).
