Tech Support Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an IT Technical Support Engineer to provide L1 technical support to end-users and manage day-to-day IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network-related issues. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting a mixed IT environment (Windows/Linux/macOS) in a manufacturing or small-company setup, and should be comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L1 technical support for Windows, Linux, and macOS environments.
  
• Manage Active Directory (AD) — user accounts, permissions, and GPO policies.
  
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, MacBooks, printers, and other peripherals.
  
• Manage Microsoft 365/O365, Office applications, and other business software/tools.
  
• Troubleshoot and manage Wi-Fi, routers, switches, LAN, and basic network connectivity.
  
• Support CCTV systems and basic IT security infrastructure.
  
• Assist with SSL certificate management and renewals.
  
• Handle user onboarding/offboarding, software installation, access management, and IT asset management.
  
• Host and maintain websites on IIS/Apache servers.
  
• Manage data backups and ensure recovery readiness.
  
• Perform network monitoring to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  
• Maintain IT documentation, inventory records, and support ticket logs.
  
• Escalate complex/unresolved issues to L2/L3 teams as required.
  

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• 2–3 years of hands-on experience in an IT technical support / infrastructure support role.
  
• Strong working knowledge of Windows, Linux, and macOS troubleshooting.
  
• Practical experience with Active Directory and Group Policy (GPO).
  
• Experience with Microsoft 365/O365 administration.
  
• Basic to intermediate networking knowledge (LAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches).
  
• Experience supporting CCTV systems and general IT security setups.
  
• Familiarity with SSL certificate installation/renewal.
  
• Exposure to IIS/Apache web hosting.
  
• Experience with backup management and network monitoring tools.
  
• Prior experience in a manufacturing unit or small/mid-sized company IT setup preferred.
