Valuation Analyst

Job Description Role and Responsibilities: /n /n - Effectively support on valuation engagements in collaboration with a senior/ manager in India or the US /n - Support Wipfli project teams in providing financial consulting services relating to business valuations (Gift & Estate planning, Healthcare, ESOPs, and Bank valuations) /n - Preparation and analysis of structured data from unstructured data sources /n - Download industry and economic data, analyze financial statements, and summarize key report points /n - Stay abreast of current business and economic developments relevant to business valuation issues and specific industry trends /n - Communicate proactively with other associates regarding open items, potential problems, or other important matters in a timely manner /n - Input financial data into various models /n - Analyze target company data to identify historical and projected financial and operating trends, working capital considerations, and potential risks which impact valuation and negotiation of the target company /n - Deliver high-quality work products and assist other team members in valuation team /n - Collaborate with VFLT team members in the US and India /n /n Skills and Competencies: /n /n - Proficient in the Microsoft suite of products, particularly Excel and Word /n - Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with team members across US and India /n - Demonstrated ability to generate a quality work product in a timely manner with strong attention to detail /n - Ability to plan and manage multiple projects simultaneously, work under pressure and meet deadlines /n - Demonstrated ability to think independently and make decisions /n - Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills /n /n Essential Qualifications and Experience: /n /n - Master's or bachelor's degree in accounting or finance /n - Minimum 1 year of experience in business valuations, gift & estate tax valuations, business combinations (ASC 805) and goodwill impairment (ASC 350), among others will be preferred CA (Intermediate/ Final) or CFA Level I/II/III or any other business valuation certification is preferred. /n - Prior experience of working with overseas team is desirable. /n - Prior experience with IBIS World, Capital IQ, or Deal Stats would be nice to have /n /n Work location: Wipfli India, Bengaluru
