Role : SAP Basis Consultant with BTP and AWS

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP HANA / Basis Consultant with strong expertise in HANA administration, database optimization, and system replication. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SAP HANA sidecar environments, performance tuning, user security management, and cloud integration (AWS/BTP).

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support SAP HANA databases (single-tenant and multi-tenant).
• Manage and monitor HANA sidecar environments for reporting and analytics.
• Configure and maintain HANA System Replication (HSR) including synchronous/asynchronous modes.
• Perform database tuning and optimization (memory, CPU, SQL statements, partitioning, indexing).
• Define and manage HANA parameters (global allocation, CPU/memory, statement limits).
• Implement user security and restrictions (roles, object privileges, analytic privileges, quotas).
• Support ABAP memory management concepts for system efficiency.
• Administer and troubleshoot other DB platforms (DB2, Sybase) when required.
• Integrate and extend SAP systems with SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) .
• Support HANA on AWS Cloud , including sizing, monitoring, and backup/restore strategies.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to ensure high availability, performance, and security .

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of experience in SAP Basis / HANA Administration .
• Hands-on experience in HANA sidecar environments and real-time replication (SLT/BODS) .
• Expertise in HANA HSR replication modes and HA/DR setup.
• Strong knowledge of HANA parameters , CPU/memory optimization , and troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of ABAP memory concepts .
• Working knowledge of DB2 or Sybase ASE .
• Experience with SAP BTP (subaccounts, role collections, HANA Cloud DB).
• Exposure to AWS Cloud (HANA deployment, EC2, EBS, HA setup) .
• Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and security implementation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP HANA Certified Technology Associate.
• Experience with multi-tenant database containers (MDC) .
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA migrations and upgrades .
• Familiarity with automation and monitoring tools .
• The SAP BASIS Administrator is responsible for the technical management, maintenance, and optimization of SAP environments, with a focus on S/4 HANA upgrades, HANA database administration, and SAP RISE cloud solutions. This role ensures system reliability, performance, and security while supporting both on-premise and cloud-based SAP landscapes.

• Experience working on HANA Sidecar Environment (Secondary as HANA (reporting/Analytics data replicated from ECC as primary)
• HANA HSR (replication) experience
