We have supplied replacement auto parts for over 25 years, covering all makes and models across domestic, European, and Asian vehicles, for DIY owners and independent shops across the United States.

We are enhancing the technical content behind our catalog. We need someone who understands the cars, not someone who writes about them.

The work

You will produce optimized automotive technical content across our sites: product descriptions, titles and descriptions, structured data, category and buying guides, diagnostic and repair articles, and vehicle platform guides.

The optimization comes from technical precision, not keyword density. Pages rank because they answer the questions owners and technicians actually search: engine codes, chassis designations, option code exclusions, fault codes, quantity required, and what is in the box. Getting those right is both the SEO strategy and the accuracy standard.

Two real examples of the standard

A Dorman fuel pump control module for 2007 to 2009 GM trucks. Our page explains that it ships pre-programmed, unlike the dealer part that needs an SPS session. That it fits vehicles built without RPO code JL1, the factory trailer brake controller, and how to find that code on the glovebox label. That P069E is not a root cause code, so read the module's own stored codes first. And that a corroded fuse block terminal produces the same communication faults and will set the code again days after a new module goes in.

A Bosch diesel injector for the BMW M57. Our page explains that it is a CRI3-16 piezo unit and why it is not interchangeable with a solenoid injector. That it fits the M57D30TU2 in the E90 335d and E70 X5 35d, but you cannot assume other M57 variants. That the F15 X5 35d looks identical but runs an N57 and takes a different part. The DDE fault codes by cylinder alongside the generic OBD-II equivalents. And a BMW service bulletin showing those codes sometimes appear when the injectors are fine, so check before ordering six.

Same discipline, different platforms. You will work across all makes and models, so the skill we need is knowing how to research a part you have not seen before, not memorized knowledge of one brand.

Responsibilities

• Research parts and systems using manufacturer technical documentation, service bulletins, installation guidance, and OE catalogs
• Write optimized product descriptions, meta titles, meta descriptions, and structured product data
• Produce longer-form technical content: diagnostic guides, repair articles, category pages, and vehicle platform guides
• Determine what a customer needs before ordering: quantity required, fitment exclusions, RPO or VIN limits, programming or calibration requirements, and box contents
• Build reusable technical modules by part category, including injectors, wheel bearings, oxygen sensors, brake friction, and control modules
• Identify and document where existing catalog data is incomplete or wrong

Required

• B.Tech in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering
• Working knowledge of engine codes, chassis and platform designations, option codes, and why they matter for fitment
• Ability to read a service bulletin and workshop procedure and extract what matters
• Clear written English, with technical precision valued over style
• Comfort working to defined formatting standards, character limits, and structured templates

Preferred

• OEM or Tier 1 experience in technical publications: service manuals, workshop procedures, repair documentation, or parts catalogs
• Previous automotive technician or service advisor experience at a dealership
• European vehicle experience, including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Volvo, and Porsche
• Structured authoring such as DITA or equivalent
• Engine management, fuel systems, or electrical diagnostics
• OEM and aftermarket catalog data
• Familiarity with on-page SEO fundamentals, including heading structure, metadata, and internal linking (not required, can be taught to the right person )

Not a fit

SEO agency or marketing copywriting backgrounds. This is technical content that happens to rank, not marketing content with automotive words in it.

One thing matters more than all of the above

We will never ask you to guess. If a torque spec, capacity, fault code, or box content is not in the source material, you leave it out and flag it. A page with three verified facts beats a page with ten where one is invented, because an invented spec reaches a customer's driveway with their car in pieces.
