Azure Network Specialist

ViaPlus is seeking a Senior Network SRE to own and drive the end-to-end architecture, reliability, security, and performance of enterprise-scale network platforms across Microsoft Azure cloud and on-premises data center environments. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that ViaPlus’ high-volume, real-time transaction systems remain highly available, resilient, and secure.

This position will work closely with Infrastructure, DevOps, Security, Application, and Data teams to align network architecture with application performance, security requirements, and business objectives. The Senior Network SRE will also be responsible for driving automation, observability, and governance standards, contributing to capacity planning, disaster recovery readiness, and continuous reliability improvements.

Job Profile: Senior Network SRE

Experience: 6 -10yrs

Job Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable Azure network architectures (Hub-Spoke, Landing Zones, vWAN).
• Build and manage hybrid connectivity solutions: ExpressRoute, VPN, VNet Peering, Private Link.
• Define North–South/East–West traffic flows, segmentation, and micro-segmentation strategies.
• Create and maintain HLD/LLD designs, network diagrams, and architecture standards.
• Configure and optimize Azure Application Gateway, Azure Load Balancer (L4/L7), and traffic routing.
• Implement SSL termination, path-based routing, session affinity, and health probes.
• Deploy and tune Azure WAF (OWASP rules, custom rules, bot protection).
• Architect global solutions using Azure Front Door (CDN, edge security, global load balancing, multi-region failover).
• Implement Zero Trust–aligned network security controls across cloud and on-prem.
• Manage NSGs, ASGs, Azure Firewall, DDoS Protection, and threat detection workflows.
• Integrate network telemetry with SIEM/SOC tools (Azure Sentinel preferred).
• Lead capacity planning, performance tuning, and traffic engineering.
• Define and maintain SOPs, runbooks, best practices, and network governance.
• Troubleshoot advanced latency, routing, packet loss, and connectivity issues.
• Support DR/BCP planning and ensure network resiliency.
• Implement IaC using Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates.
• Collaborate with DevOps to integrate network deployments into CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate network provisioning for repeatable and consistent builds.
• Work closely with Cloud, Security, DevOps, Application, and Data teams.
• Present architecture decisions to leadership (CIO/CTO) and guide technology choices.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across projects.

Skill Set:

• Deep knowledge of Azure Virtual Network, App Gateway, front door, Load Balancer, AFD, Azure Firewall.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, VPN, SD-WAN.
• Experience with enterprise firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, CheckPoint, Cisco ASA).
• Hands-on with monitoring tools: Azure Monitor, Network Watcher, Traffic Analytics.
• Strong troubleshooting skills (Wireshark, packet captures, routing diagnostics).
• Tools & Automation
• Terraform / Bicep / ARM
• Azure DevOps, GitHub, CI/CD
• PowerShell, Python (optional but preferred)

Qualifications:

Any Graduate with B. E / B. Tech, MCA or equivalent degree with more than 6+ years relevant work experience.

4 years of experience in Network Engineering/Architecture.

Minimum 4 years of Azure cloud networking experience.

Certifications Preferred:

• AZ-700: Azure Network Engineer Associate
• AZ-305: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• CCNP / CCIE (for on-prem routing/switching)
• Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto PCNSE
