Senior SAP SD Specialist - Vertex Integration

Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Specialist to spearhead the deployment and optimization of SAP solutions, with a primary emphasis on the Sales and Distribution (SD) module. This pivotal role is essential for driving the successful consultation, rollout, and ongoing maintenance of SAP initiatives across the organization. The successful candidate will bring 8 to 10 years of comprehensive SAP experience, including a minimum of five years focused specifically on functional SD expertise. The position demands advanced proficiency in handling complex integration landscapes, configuring tax engines, and managing revenue recognition protocols to ensure peak operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Direct the full lifecycle of SAP projects, encompassing implementation, deployment, and post-launch support, with a specialized focus on the SD module.
  
• Configure and oversee the Vertex tax engine to guarantee precise tax calculations and strict adherence to all regulatory compliance standards.
  
• Architect and sustain custom User Exits to tailor standard system functionalities to meet unique business needs.
  
• Supervise IDOC transactions and ensure seamless data synchronization between the SD, Materials Management (MM), and Warehouse Management (WM) modules.
  
• Create and refine intricate pricing procedures, including output form design and the generation of comprehensive pricing analytics.
  
• Orchestrate Stock-to-Order (STO) workflows within the broader Order-to-Cash (OTC) framework.
  
• Guarantee compliance with GST regulations while managing cross-functional tax processes and revenue recognition activities.
  
• Administer rebate structures and extended rebate mechanisms to facilitate complex sales agreements.
  
• Enable robust integration between SD and Financial Accounting (FI) modules to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  
• Partner with external CRM platforms to maintain data integrity and align business processes.
  

Requirements

• Mandatory expertise in SAP SD and S/4HANA environments.
  
• A minimum of 8 to 10 years of total SAP experience, including at least 5 years of dedicated functional work in the SD module.
  
• Documented history of leading real-time implementation, rollout, and consulting support for SAP projects.
  
• Proven proficiency in configuring and managing the Vertex tax engine.
  
• Strong technical command over User Exits and IDOC processing methodologies.
  
• Demonstrated success in integrating SD with MM, WM, and FI modules.
  
• Advanced skills in pricing procedure configuration, output management, and pricing report generation.
  
• Comprehensive understanding of STO processes, GST compliance, tax determination logic, and revenue recognition.
  
• Experience in managing rebate and extended rebate workflows.
  
• Familiarity with integrating SAP ecosystems with external CRM systems is preferred.
