Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Senior UX Designer . In this role, you will drive end-to-end user experience design for learners across the globe in our executive education programs. Emeritus courses are built in partnership with top Universities like MIT and UC Berkeley. You will partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, Research, Data Science, and Business stakeholders to create intuitive, scalable, and impactful experiences that span the user lifecycle, from enrollment through certificate issuance.

As a senior member of the design team, you will lead design initiatives, influence product strategy, advocate for users, and help establish design best practices across a global portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

User Experience Strategy & Design

• Lead the UX design process from discovery through delivery for complex enrollment, payment and learning features.
• Translate business goals, customer needs, and technical constraints into intuitive user experiences.
• Create user flows, journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, interaction designs, and high-fidelity mockups.
• Design for scalability across global markets, user segments, and learning scenarios.
• Define and maintain design patterns that align with established design systems and accessibility standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Product Managers to shape product vision, roadmap priorities, and feature strategies.
• Collaborate with Engineering teams to ensure design feasibility and quality implementation.
• Work alongside Market Researchers, Instructional Designers and University Partners to gather insights through user interviews, usability testing, and behavioral data.
• Present design concepts and rationale to executive stakeholders and leadership teams.

Customer-Centered Design

• Champion user-centered design practices across the organization.
• Use qualitative and quantitative data to identify customer pain points and opportunities.
• Validate designs through iterative testing and feedback loops.
• Drive improvements in usability, adoption, satisfaction, and business outcomes.

Leadership & Influence

• Promote design excellence and best practices across teams and geographies.
• Influence cross-functional decision-making through strong storytelling, facilitation, and communication skills.
• Help evolve UX processes, accessibility standards, and design governance frameworks.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, Psychology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of professional UX design experience, including experience designing complex digital products or enterprise software.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design process, problem-solving, and measurable business impact.
• Expertise in user-centered design methodologies and interaction design principles.
• Proficiency with industry-standard design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
• Experience collaborating closely with Product Management and Engineering teams in agile environments.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience designing for accessibility and inclusive user experiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting global products across multiple regions and cultures.
• Experience designing for LMS, data-intensive, or workflow-driven applications.
• Knowledge of design systems and component libraries.
• Familiarity with UX research methodologies and analytics platforms.
• Experience working within large matrixed organizations.
• Experience leveraging AI-powered design tools and designing AI-enabled user experiences.

The Senior UX Designer will lead the design of experiences across the learner lifecycle, from enrollment throughout their course to completion and certificate issuance. They will partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Research to deliver intuitive, scalable solutions that drive customer value and business impact. This individual will serve as both a hands-on designer and a strategic thought partner, helping shape product direction while advancing design excellence across the organization.
