Role/Designation: Senior SAS Programmer

Experience (in years): 5-10 years

Education: Bachelor's/Master's in Statistics, Computer Science,Maths, Life Sciences, or related field or any other related discipline.

Essential skills:

Proficiency in SAS, SAS Macro and and other latest programming languages for application development.

Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Understanding of SaaS applications and deployment strategies.

Basic knowledge of clinical data management and transformation (raw to SDTM) and industry regulations such as CDISC.

REST API framework

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Summary

SAS Programmer with strong application development experience to design, develop and maintain interactive applications with a strong understanding of cloud-based systems and SaaS applications. The ideal candidate will also have a basic understanding of clinical data management (Raw & SDTM) and possess essential soft skills to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment and support data-driven applications and automation solutions within clinical research and regulatory environments.

Roles & Responsibilities

● Develop and maintain interactive applications using SAS , SAS macros and R-Shiny, Python.

● Work with cloud platforms to understand how applications interact within the framework of cloud systems

● Integrate SaaS-based solutions into existing workflows.

● Ensure applications are optimized for performance, reliability, and security.

● Connect with other systems using REST API for bi-directional data exchange.

● Support clinical data management processes by automating data submission process (SDTMs)

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data analysts and domain experts, to deliver high-quality solutions.

● Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application functionality and data processing.

Essential Experience

● Collaborate with senior analysts and stakeholders to ensure clear and accurate requirements documentation.

● Develop a foundational understanding of clinical trial data and metadata to support business solutions.

● Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure business requirements are met.

● Support the documentation and alignment of business and technical processes with Sycamore Informatics product

requirements.

● Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.

● Excellent conflict resolution skills.
